All Fall Down by Sally Nicholls Review by Mrs Haxell

It’s not a book for the faint hearted, but so excellently well written that the characters jump off the page and take you by the hand into their world. “All Fall Down” is a book that looks at the human side of the plague and what it must have felt like for the people living through it.  It is a story told through the eyes of Isobel, a young girl whose life has been happy and secure so far.  The book takes us through her most traumatic years, where the plague takes all her security away from her and she is forced to rely on herself to mould her own life.
